I think I'm going to apply. From what I've read so far, it's one of the best part-time MBA programs in US. 3 years is a long time though...

I am in for Round 2 also (yeah..no Round 3's this time for Anderson). Re-applicant ...Confident this time. Will apply to USC also this time as a back up. Remember seeing "Go Bruins" postings somewhere in this forum..not sure whether its the same..Same with Beckee..

Anyways, good luck to all and we should keep this thread alive. Bumped about few postings for FEMBA all the time..

ahhhh.....trying to complete Essays 2 and 3... especially challenging for me because I'm a Bay Area applicant who was admitted at Haas, but want to spend 5-6 precious hours of my weekend to attend the school I like more. Will have to convince adcom that my interest is genuine.

I'm in!!!!

R1 applicant.

I applied to the Full Time program in 2008 then took a year off to focus on my career. Made a career change into the field I wanted and then re-applied to the FEMBA program.

Feels awesome to get in.

I was surprised, as I thought I was going to get a call from the admissions office. When I saw the email letting me know that my "status was updated", I figured I didn't get in. Not the case.

Awesome.

Well here's some really good news for you. Based off of last years info. They waitlisted 68 applicants and 42 people were accepted off the waitlist. There are probably some who choose not to stay on the waitlist. That is by far one of the best odds you're gonna get since I've seen waitlist for other schools of 300 and only accepting 18.

Another thing is that since UCLA is adding another session, 5 sessions vs 4 sessions. I think the odds of them not being able to fill the class is greatly improved. So you have a very good shot that us R2 people will suck more than they think we will.

Re: UCLA FEMBA [#permalink]
Beckee,

Excluding GoBruins, most of the applicants I met (at the first open house) who were applying for R2 had either not taken the GMAT yet (!) or were applying with low 600's so you might have a better chance than you think.

I'd say take a calculus / statistics / accounting course at a local college or UCLA Extension in the meantime. If your GMAT score is low, consider taking it again if you think you can score higher.

I don't think the interview is all that important for FEMBA. How do I know? I never interviewed. I had to fly to Chicago that weekend so I missed it altogether. When I asked to re-schedule or do an over-the-phone interview, they told me not to worry about it.

My 2 cents.
