Hello all,

I've been wrestling with this decision and could use some external logic. I was given a fellowship for full tuition and fees at Kenan-Flagler and no money at Stern. My sole desire is to transition into the entertainment industry (more specifically talent management or talent representation) from the fashion industry. I would have to take out about $225K in loans for NYU while I would only need about $40K in loans for UNC (for living expenses). My concern is that because UNC isn't in a city with the entertainment industry, I'll have a hard chance of getting to where I want to go. I'm also considering taking a small promotion (and pay bump) at work and using the next year to strengthen my application and target additional schools in California. What do you all think?

i don't know much about the entertainment space but I'd assume it's a huge advantage to be in NYC/LA. I'd research this more and see how strong NYU is but may make sense to reapply and target UCLA/USC next year if you don't mind waiting a year.

Employment report for both Stern & Anderson show relatively similar placement for the entertainment sector (albeit marginally lower but negligible for NYU). If i were you, I'd go for Stern this year unless you're dead set in working in the west coast.
