the application for one of my schools is asking for a resume. what are we supposed to put for the objective? obviously its to get into business school.... is it as simple as this or are we supposed to upload our resume with our career objective

I would not put down an objective if I were you. I don't really like to see objectives on any kind of business resume. If you look at the resumes coming out of business school (there are a few resume book sources floating around the web) you will not see objectives. You essays will cover your objectives. You resume is about why you are the best qualified candidate.
The admins will pay less and less attention to detail the further down the page they get. Which would you have them rather see first?

"my objective is to get into the X mba program and use this education to move into a career in Y."

or

"
Manager, Company Z
Double net profits by inventing cure for the common cold.
"

I agree. Objectives are stupid. They mean nothing and I rarely read them.
