Hi,

I am very new to GMAT and will take the exam on 22/08/2013. I get very confused with the structure of AWA.

On the official GMAT web page, it says that "The AWA consists of one 30-minute essay: Analysis of an Argument."

However, there are my sources saying that the AWA consists of 2 30-min essay: ANALYSIS OF AN ARGUMENT AND ANALYSIS OF AN ISSUE.

Can anyone please tell me which one is right?

Appreciate much.
Thank you very much.

Offical GMAT is correct. "The AWA consists of one 30-minute essay: Analysis of an Argument."

Prior to June 2012, there were 2 30 minutes essays. Now, the analysis of an issue has been replaced with Integrated reasoning(IR) section.

Yes, the official test now has one essay - the Analysis of an Argument and has taken off the Issue essay in favor or the integrated reasoning section.
