I too am worrying bout the same thing. But then I realize that the chineseburned guide has helped probably hundreds upon hundreds of GMAT takers achieve a 6.0.... the readers are going through so many essays and it is unlikely any wrong is done by using chineseburned's template.

I think his guide is great especially concerning the transitions/focus points etc.
