So I bought the OG 11 two years ago thinking I would start studying for the GMAT. It ended up just collecting dust and this time I am serious about studying. I recently purchased the MGMAT 4th edition set of 8 and I plan on starting to study soon.

I know that on the MGMAT website there are conversion tables for OG 11 with the 4th edition book. However, is it worth it to just buy the OG 12? Will the money be better spent on buying the newest verbal and quant book? Please give me some advice!

Hi,

We do have conversion documents, which you can use to reference the correct question number for each chapter in your MGMAT books: http://www.manhattangmat.com/fourth-ed-info.cfm This would help you use your 11th edition book with your 4th edition MGMAT books.

We also have a pretty good analysis of how the 12th edition varies from the 11th: http://www.manhattangmat.com/official-guide-12.cfm

Some highlights include a few more data sufficiency questions and about 1/3 new questions.

To save yourself some stress, I would lean towards purchasing a 12th edition guide, but you could probably do just fine with the 11th if you need to!

Best,
Caitlin Clay

Thanks Caitlin. I think I'll start with the OG 11 and if I get really frustrated or need the extra 1/3 questions, I might consider buying the OG 12 as well!
