Hi ,
Ex colleague of mine gave me the veritas books - he took course.
I have the whole set ,wondering if these can be used in "selfstudy" mode ?
or do I need take online or classroom course to better understand the contents and effectively leverage the material.

The veritas books can definitely be used for self study. It is a very good set of books. I do not have the whole set but I do have some. I really like them. Those with the 3 OGs and GMATPrep should be the only material you would need.

Many people use the veritas books on their own. Good luck.

FYI - now the veritas book set comes with access to their CAT's and Tests! (or maybe that's not official yet?)

bb I have a few veritas books. Do you know how to access their CATs? The books do not have any directions. Do you have to have the full set to access the CATs?

What I am hearing back is that you must purchase the books through www.veritasprep.com to be eligible for their tests.

I second that. I have the whole set and they are full of exercises that help you master the topics. I'm using them as basic material coupling them with some CATs and the OG. I'd say the complete set covers everything you need to prepare well.
