I just finished my second GMAT Prep full test. Here are my score breakdowns so far:
1. July 26th, 680: Q40, V42
2. August 3rd, 740: Q45, V47
Obviously I'm happy with my score from today. I've been putting in a lot of review on MGMAT fundamentals since the 7/26 test and it seemed to pay off, even though some questions on the quant threw me off and seemed a bit baffling. My goal for the test is 720+ and I've proven to myself I can do it now.
I am off work until my test on 8/13 and would love some advice on either maintaining the quant score or getting it even higher. I'm not too worried about verbal, IR went well (got an 8 today). Essays are solid. Basically my concern is maintaining today's performance and not dropping off at all on test day.
How much of a role does luck play at this point? I want to believe it's all about hard work, but I also know that the test can throw weird sets of questions at you. I guess what I'd like some thoughts on is how much can I rely on my scores to predict test day?
Both times I've taken the test I've felt more relieved after I took it than before. It seems like the anxiety mostly disappears and I get in test mode, the AWA and IR are good for getting the jitters out.
What tips can you guys offer (or threads to point me to) for suggestions for this final push until test day? I've locked in my eating/hydration plan and have my breaks timed, I just need some thoughts on whether to keep reviewing fundamentals or to work harder problems from here? Other thoughts would be great.

I would also recommend focusing in your weaknesses in quant and going over your mistakes and any error log records if you had kept one.
If you want, you can pick up a copy of the Kaplan math workbook and do the listnofnquestions I have outlined right here. It won't take long and should give you a good run for your money. You can focus on both the questions and the solutions. They are worth a read too actually (at least for these questions)
Also, here is the list of the Most Interesting GMAT questions from this book (some are hard and others require an unusual approach) - make sure you can answer every one of them and know how to solve them by heart:
Number properties test: 8, 13, 14, 17, 19

Ratios: 22

Thanks-- I appreciate it and hope it all holds up on test day. I'm really wondering how well the GMAT Prep tests correlate to actual test-day performance. I've seen threads where people got surprised on test day and I've got some residual anxiety that that may happen to me. Hopefully not.
I'll check out that Kaplan book and try the sets you mentioned. The link to countdown plans sounds good too, thanks.
