60% of P = 40% of S.

P/S = 40/60. (100 in denominator will get cancelled)

P/S = 2/3

P to S = 2 to 3.

Answer B

Solution

Given:
• 60% of P is equal to 40% of S

To find:
• The ratio of P and S

Approach and Working:
From the given relationship between P and S, we can write
    • \(\frac{60}{100}\) P = \(\frac{40}{100}\) S
    Or, 6P = 4S
    Or, \(\frac{P}{S} = \frac{4}{6} = \frac{2}{3}\)
Hence, the correct answer is option B.
