According to the table, for which of the following occasions was the number of cards sold closest to 1/12 of the number of birthday cards sold? A. Valentine's Day B. Secretary's Day C. Mother's Day D. Father's Day E. Graduation

B secretary's day 185 Nos.  1/12 * 2200 = 183

1/12 (2200) = 183. 33 => 185 i.e. Secretary's day should be the answer. i.e. Option B.

Mother's Day D. Father's Day E. Graduation We see that the number of birthday cards sold is 2,200, and 1/12 of that is approximately 200 (notice that 1/12 of 2,400 is exactly 200). Since 185 is closest to 200, the occasion is Secretary's Day. Answer: B
