since a is positive number a>0
we can cancel a in both cases

(1) 2a=a^2

a=2...suff

(2) a + 2 = 2a
a=2----suff

Since a is positive, from statement 1 value is 2.
We discard the value 0 for a.

Since 0 is considered as neither negative nor positive shouldn't we also consider a=0?
