Hi guys,

I am facing difficulty in solving the Geometry problems. I almost always get less than 50% accuracy in the practice tests for Geometry. It has always been a weaker section for me and I'm afraid my scores will not cross 700+ if it continues the same. If anyone could suggest what can I do to improve on the Geometry problems and get more than 75% accuracy, it will be a great help.
I usually don't understand the figures properly and get confused about which property to apply or how to reconstruct the figures for getting the solution.

Thanks!

ArbaazRajani - At 50% accuracy level, you either do not know all the Geometry concepts or do not know how to apply the rules. Also, your strategies to solve questions could be shaky. For now, I would advice you to go through the GMAT Club Math Book available in the below link. You would also need to practice a lot of questions; in GMAT Club Test Center, we have 150+ GMAT-like questions with solid explanations.

Hi DisciplinedPrep

Thanks for the response.
I'll definitely go through the Math Book and do the needful practice questions.

Also, for improving my overall score in Quant which is below 40 right now, what would you suggest doing with regards to learning the concepts first and then taking the tests or doing them simultaneously. I have just 3 weeks in hand for my preparation and I have the test on 24th August.

I have completed the OG 2019 and overall I have 60% accuracy there. I also have the Quant Review and planning to start it in 2-3 days.
Would it be a good idea to finish the Quant Review and then take the practice tests or working in some other way?

Thanks!

At 50% accuracy, I recommend that you get a GMAT quant book that contains a reading and drill section on the major topics that are covered in the GMAT. When you approach Geometry problems, make sure that you can visualize what is going on and draw out a diagram if you cannot, and then label all of the lengths and angles that are given to you in the problem.
