Agreed. This was supposed to be a fun thread. Let's return it to that.

Alright, I'm glad there's a call back to "civilized" discussion. The forum is great for spirited discussions, but comments that are very negative towards a school or its students are not really necessary (such as the insinuation that Stanford MBAs are only good for drinking). Please play nice and respect each other on here, and we'll all have a great time on GC. :)

Anyway, like terry12 said (he always says it way more eloquently than I can, haha :-D ), weather is an important factor for me because of the lifestyle. I do agree that if the choice were between a top 5 school that fits my career goals and cultural fit well versus a top 20 school with similar fit, I would probably pick the top 5 school even if it's in freezing North Dakota (no offense to ND people :P). But when it's a choice between, say, Haas vs Kellogg (gee, I wonder where that example came from?), weather was definitely one of the major factors (along with career choice, class size, and the pain of moving).

I cannot tell you how big weather plays on my mood, especially since it's 70 degrees F here (20C) and most people are wearing T-shirts and enjoying the sun. I want to go out and walk around, study outside, play sports, etc... Whereas even a few weeks ago when we had a "cold" spell and had temperatures in the 30-40s (yeah, Kellogg people, hate me now :P), I felt miserably cold and didn't want to do anything.

Like many said, this is all a PERSONAL decision, and the poll was put up just for a fun discussion. Some people couldn't care less, some people love the cold, and some love the sun. Let's just learn more about each other with fun threads like these and foster an even tighter knit community. :)

Cheers everyone!
