Wharton Application Question [#permalink]

In the FAQ section for the Wharton, the following is listed:

Do I need to submit a resume?

You are not required to submit a resume. The work history section is the important section in order for admissions to get a good understanding of your professional experience. If you want to submit a resume as a support document, you can cut and paste it to the optional essay (assuming you are sending everything else online) OR include it in your mail-in application materials. Those attending interviews (Full-time, MBA Program for Executives and EMTM) should bring a resume at that time.

This being said, in the work experience section of the application, should I list my experience as I would on a resume? Or should I write out my experiences in a paragraph?

Thanks for the input.

The Wharton application with regard to employment history is relatively specific. I would not, therefore list my experiences as I would on a resume.

Rather I would take the Wharton suggestion of format literally. In other words follow this format:

Company Description: .......

Leadership / Management Roles: ......

Major Accomplishments: ........

The decision to utilize bullet points or paragraphs in responding to these three sections should be based on what ever you feel most comfortable with. For myself, I would probably write in paragraph form for the company description and bullets for the other two sections.
