I AM A MARKETING ENGINEER IN INDIA WITH A LOCAL MANUFACTURING COMPANY FOR PAST TWO YEARS.

I AM AIMING FOR A GMAT SCORE OF 760 BUT I DONT HAVE A GOOD GPA ....

..GIVEN THAT I AM ABLE TO ACHIEVE THAT SCORE WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF GETTING INTO A TOP NOTCH SCHOOL??

I'm sorry but with this little amount of information it's very difficult for me to formulate an intelligent reply.

I will emphasize heavily, however that your application will be evaluated by A LOT more than your GMAT and GPA. A strong GMAT will help balance your GPA, but you need brilliant essays, very strong recommendations, a terrific interview and a stunning resume to have a shot.

I agree that one should not expect either a stellar GPA or a stellar GMAT to be a sufficient condit for admission.

Just a few follow-up questions:

How bad is the GPA?
Have you taken any coursework in the interim?
What do you consider a top-notch school?
