Hey,
I am no expert, but can offer some decent advice. Of course, you can look at the different posts posted in this forum and go through everyone's study plan and experience, and that will give you some decent idea around some of the books and materials folks have used to prepare.
You scored a 38 in verbal. Honestly, given from what you have described, that is a PRETTY good score. So I would assume doing some time-managed tests for verbal and that will help keep pace. If you got a V38 with a poor mindset, I am sure you could pull that up an easy 5-6 points with better practice.
Quant: Just practice my friend. I suck at math. Can't even tell you how bad. My brain just stops working when I see a problem. But it requires practice. If you are not a natural at math, exhaust OG12 inside out, reading through each and every explanation, understanding the concepts etc. You could practice the sets in the Gmatclub Challenges, but they may be out of your reach at this point. But they are good practice nonetheless if you are looking for some intense training.
I would ask you to take about 6-7 additional weeks before you re-take the GMAT. Focus on math, and definitely start taking some timed tests at least 4 weeks before your test to build that stamina and avoid that headache. You will be surprised to see how much your score starts picking up.
'luck!

Well i took the the Gmat Exam today and got 550. V38 : Q27. I studied for about 3 months on and off using Cliff Math Review and OG12. Really though i could have scored in the 600s and i don,t know what happened. I guess one of the mistakes i made was not doing any practice exams as i really didn,t want to see the scores. i took my two breaks drank water and ate almonds but by the verbal section i was suffering from a headache and totally wiped out. Had major time issued in this section and had to answer some RC without even reading the passage
. What do you suggest i do now? Wonder if i should take a class or just invest in some good books and try again? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks All.
