Statement 1: Insufficient. It could be a right angled triangle with the 3rd side as 8.

It could be a scalene non right angled triangle, with the 3rd side as 11.

The areas in both cases are sufficient.


Statement 2: InSufficient. The area given does not give us the sides of the triangle.


Combining the statements. Insufficient: As we still do not know the type of the triangle. The third side could be 8 or 4.8

target find perimeter of ∆ ABC

#1
Two sides of ∆ABC are 6 units and 10 units
3rd side rule it can be 4<3rd side<16
insufficient as we can have many possiblities
#2
Area of ∆ABC is 24 square units
∆ can be equilateral , scalene, isosceles ; insufficient
from 1 &2
third side can be either 8 or 4.8
insufficient as we get different perimeter values
option E
