St I
The diameter of circle Q is 6.
No information is given about circle P ----------- Insufficient

St II
The radius of circle Q is twice the radius of circle P
Can calculate radius of P as radius of Q is not Given

Combining St I and II, we have
radius(Q) = 3 = 2*radius(p)
radius(P) = 3/2
Area(P) = 2*radius(p)*pi = 3pi.

Hence option C is correct.

From (1) There is no info about Circle P--Insuff

From (2) There is no Value. Rq=2Rp--Insuff

From (1) & (2)

If Diameter of Circle Q is 6, then radius=3

Rp=3/2

Area of Circle P=2*3.142*(3/2)=9.42

Hence C

for the area of a circle, you need to know "radius".

stmt-1:
diameter (double of radius) of Q is 6. but we need to know radius of circle P. insufficient.

stmt-2:
ratio of radius of the circle Q and P given but we need the value of radius of P. insufficient.

combining:
stmt-1 gives the value of one variable of those used in ratio given in stmt-2. so you can determine the value of other variable and that is raius of circle P. sufficient.
