Option A: one side is given but not the other. so not sufficient.
Option B: perimeter is given, so l+b+10. but no info on l or b. not sufficient.

Taking both together, l=7 and l+b=10, means l=7 and b=3, so area can be found.

Thank you Bunuel for the question :)

Area of a rectangle = Wide x Length

(S1) Side B is 7 units long. -> clearly insuf, we only know 1 side -> B/C/E

(S2) Perimeter = 20 <=> (W + L) x2 = 20 ->insuf. -> C/E

(1)+(2) We know the W and the L -> Area of ABCD -> suf -> C.

(2) The perimeter of rectangle ABCD is 20 units.

#1
l=7
b =?
#2
l+b= 10
from 1 & 2
l=7; b = 3
sufficient

Answer C:
You cannot calculate area without knowing both parameters i.e length and breadth.
case 1 tells us breadth, and case 2 gives us length.
