1. The average age of Mark, Paul and Edward is not enough. Unless we
do not know the average of age of Maxine and Lina, we cannot find the
average of the ages of the 5 people(Insufficient)

2. The average age of Maxine and Lina is not enough. Unless we
do not know the average of age of Mark, Paul and Edward, we cannot
find the average of the ages of the 5 people(Insufficient)

On combining the information in both the statements, we can arrive at
the average of the ages of the 5 people(Sufficient - Option C)
