As we want the sum of prime numbers less than 30, we eliminate answer option E, since the sum of these 4 numbers cannot be more than 120.

Since we want the greatest sum, we take the greatest prime numbers that are less than 30. The 4 prime numbers which we have to consider are 29, 23, 19 and 17.
Therefore, the greatest integer that’s a sum of these primes = 29 + 23 + 19 + 17 = 88

The correct answer option is B.

Hope that helps!

Solution:

The 4 largest prime numbers that are less than 30 are 29, 23, 19 and 17. Thus, the greatest integer that is a sum of four different prime numbers, each less than 30, is:

29 + 23 + 19 + 17 = 88

Count reverse from 30 -

\(29 + 23 + 19 + 17 = 88\), Answer must be (B)
