A. 1
B. 2
C. 3
D. 4
E. 5

We can use the rule that the remainder, when a number is divided by 5, is equivalent to the remainder when the units digit of that number is divided by 5.

We see that the units digit of 14,456 x 15,657 x 16,788 is 6 x 7 x 8 = 336, so a units digit of 6.

The remainder of 6/5 is 1, so the answer is 1.

Answer: A
