What is the solution of n + 2 > 8?

Tells us that n is greater than 6

(1) n is a positive integer less than 10.

As as can take multiple values (7,8 or 9), this statement is not sufficient.

(2) n is a one-digit prime number.

As n can only be 7, this statement is sufficient.
