1) 2a + 6b = 8
2) 3b + a = 4

Hi,
you will have to recheck the answer..
we are looking value of two variables a and b, so we require two linear equations in these two variables..
both the statements give identical equation..

1) 2a + 6b = 8

2) 3b + a = 4
multiply by 2 on both sides
6b+2a=8..

so we have ONLY one equation..
ans will be Insuff even when combined
