What is the value of integer n?

(1) n(n+1) =6 --> $$n^2+n-6=0$$ --> $$(n+3)(n-2)=0$$ --> $$n=-3$$ or $$n=2$$. Not sufficient.
(2) 2^(2n) = 16 --> $$2^{2n}=2^4$$ --> $$2n=4$$ --> $$n=2$$. Sufficient.

What is the value of integer n?

(1) n(n+1) =6

n & (n+1) means is TWO Consecutive integers.

Therefore, either 6 = 2 * 3 or 6 = -2 * -3 (do not negative negative values)

n =2 or -3

Insufficient

(2) 2^(2n) = 16

2^(2n) = 4 ^n = 16 = 4^2.......n =2

Sufficient
