Sum of the angles of a triangle is 180 degree. So, w+y+x=180

St1:- w + y = 118
The third angle x=180-(w+y).
Sufficient to determine the measure of x.

St2:- 2y - w = 56

No other info regarding (x,y) or (x,w) is provided.
Insufficient.

w + x + y = 180 degree.

Statement 1: w + y = 118.

w + x+ y = 180

x = 180 - 118

x = 62.

Sufficient.

Statement 2: 2y - w = 56. 2 variables on the equation. NOT sufficient.
