Statement 1: x can be 12 or 13 or 14 or any decimal .
Statement 2: again x can take any above mentioned values.

Both together:

Still x can take 12 or 13 or 14.

Answer E.

Condition 1)
x could be any number between 11 and 15.
This is not sufficient.

Condition 2)
x could be any number between 11 and 18.
This is not sufficient.

Condition 1) & 2)
Any number between 11 and 15 satisfy both conditions 1) and 2) together.
They are not sufficient either.
