(1) The slope of m is 4 times the y intercept of m
=> -a/b=4*-c/b
=>-c/a=-1/4

Sufficient

(2) The y intercept of line m is -2
=>-c/b=-2

Insufficient

Given:
y = mx + B
m cannot be zero
x intercept = value for x when y = 0

Statement 1)
m = 4B

0 = 4B(x) + B
0 = B(4x + 1)

B cannot be zero because then m would be zero. Therefore 4x+1 = 0.
x = -1/4

-----> SUFFICIENT

Statement 2)
y = mx - 2
0 = mx -2

----> Can't solve for x ----> INSUFFICIENT

line is y=mx+c

1) y=4cx+c

for x intercept y =0.
so, c(4x+1)=0. c cant be zero here. so, x=-1/4 SUFFICIENT

2) doesn't say much. INSUFFICIENT
