On another note, Praet, are you enjoying this love-fest?

Thank you all for all the nice words. It is always nice to be appreciated. It helps to get feedback regardless of whether it is positive or negative.
However, all of this would not mean much without the nice people here.

It really is up to all of you. My job is to try to give you guys what you want and stay the heck out of your way. It will be interesting to see how B-School life evolves. I would really like to see that sub-forum play a significant role when classes begin.

There is still a long way to go. GMAT Club still has a somewhat elitist aura about it. It is not a bad thing; you should aim high. It is just that I'd love to see more discussions about regional schools, international schools etc.

I concur with all the above. It is also the reason I stuck around even after graduation to help out future applicants as much as I can. Kudos to gmatclub!

I once again have the pleasure of agreeing with Paul- the community of GMATClub is what attracted me in the first place and is what keeps me coming back years later.

for some reason i got an email saying there was a new message here, but it appears this thread hasn't been updated in a while.

nevertheless, i just had some nice fuzzy warm feelings from it, so I thought I'd bump.

cheers, all

aau,

you are right. I did post a note to let others offer their perspective, but changed my mind later and deleted it.

i did feel my ego swell a little bit after reading the thread - its feels good that we can be useful to someone else.

ahh nostalgia...

I mentioned this site to an admissions committee director the other day and she had not heard about it before. Hopefully I can influence them to look into establishing a presence on this forum (instead of just being on the BW forum).

Retro threads are the best. It is fun to see everyone's comments before they knew where they were going to end up.

I much prefer GMATclub to BW, BW always seems like it is one step below sheer chaos.

I have been lurking for a few weeks. The one thing that really impressed me is how much good will there is in one place - so many people competing for the same spots but still helping each other and providing support!

That's the real difference between here and BW. BW just isn't about support.

agreed on the above posts, as well as the fact that BW's site layout in general is notoriously awful. One can read through a day's worth of relevant gclub posts in a fraction of the time it would take on BW. I'm sure I'm not the only who feels this way.

Yes I far prefer this format! I feel it makes for more relevant discussions as well.

I have not looked at BW in some time, but could one even say that BW has a format? It's just a bunch of random posting.

Plus, it seems like 75% of posts are "Please tell can I get into XXX"?

I went to the BW forums once. And I don't care to go back. 'nuff said.
