Consecutive integers taken 1,2,3,4,5,6
Remainder of 1/6 = 1
Remainder of 2/6 = 2
Similarly
remainders are 1,2,3,4,5,0

Sum =1+2+3+4+5+0 =15

Algebraically, we can solve the question as -

Let the 6 consecutive numbers be 6k+1, 6k+2, 6k+3, 6k+4, 6k+5 and 6k+6. Hence when these numbers are divided by 6, remainder will be

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 0 and Sum of remainder will be =1+2+3+4+5+0=15
