time to travel the first miles = $$\frac{distance}{speed}$$ = $$\frac{m}{v}$$

time to travel the whole distance = $$\frac{2m}{[5v/3]}$$ = $$\frac{6m}{5v}$$

time for first miles + times for second miles = time for whole distance
$$\frac{m}{v}$$ + $$\frac{m}{x}$$ = $$\frac{6m}{5v}$$
$$\frac{m}{x}$$ = $$\frac{6m}{5v}$$ - $$\frac{5m}{5v}$$
$$\frac{m}{x}$$ = $$\frac{m}{5v}$$
$$x = 5v$$
