When N is divided by 13, the remainder is 2 and the quotient is K. When N is divided by 17, the remainder is 2. What is the remainder when K is divided by 17?

Ans: 0

N = 13K+2

N = 17T+2

17T+2 = 13K+2

17T = 13K....eq 1

so, from eq 1 we know that K is a multiple of 17...therefore the remainder is 0.

N=13k+2=17L+2
13k=17L. to hold the above equation, k must equal to 17L or its multiple, simiarly l ust be equal to 13 or its multiple.
if thats the case, the reinder must be zero when K is divided by 17.
