Hi kayser, I would definitely recommend you to use Kaplan paper test formats as long as you time yourself. Otherwise, you may end up doing the test in 3 hours instead of 2.5 hours and the paper test's purpose would be self-defeating.

In terms of online tests and resource, check out this great link:

Some of the links there will give you access to full online tests.

hi paul,

just a few more questions about prep materials. Are there any differences between the editions of the workbooks???? for example i have 2001 kaplan verbal [the red cover] and i was thinking about getting the latest one 2004 [the blue cover] i guess what i am asking is - are the exercises and tests very different or are they the same or they duplicate each other in some ways not fully/fully?? would you recommend buying the latest versions of the workbooks??? would i benefit from getting the latest versions ??and one more question - is there different content on the cds of the regular books?? is the cd on the 2003 edition the same does it have the same test/strategies/sample questions as 2004, 2005 etc?? thanx in advance for your reply

The above is a discussion on PR2005 CD vs older versions. I strongly believe that for PR, the newer version is better. However, Kaplan did not change their version from 2002 through 2004. I'm not sure for 2001 but the odds are I don't think they changed their edition anyways. Book editions are to my knowledge absolutely same.

In terms of CD content, I believe that it is good to buy those Kaplan/PR books WITH CDs as it will give you a "feel" of the acctual test. Also, rest assured that unlike OG, the question banks on the CDs are much wider than the questions included in the actual books.
