Since all the three fractions are <0 thus all three have to be multiplied with each other resulting in a fraction <1(III being <1).

Also point to note here that options available here (A,B,C,D) are not workable at all.

Let me know it this is helpful.

Which three of the following numbers, when multiplied by each other, yield a product less than \(–1\)?

I. \(\frac{-18}{19}\)

II. \(\frac{23}{-22}\)

III. \(\frac{17}{-16}\)

A. I only
B. II only
C. III only
D. I and II only
E. I, II and III

I. -18/19 > -1
II. -23/22 <-1
III. -17/16 <-1

IMO B & C

\(I*II = \frac{-18}{19}*\frac{-23}{22} =\) +ve number >-1

\(I*II*III = -\frac{18}{19} * -\frac{23}{22} * \frac{-17}{16}= \frac{-18*23*17}{19*22*16}=\frac{-3519}{3344} <-1\)

I don't quite understand the question. Like I multiplied by I or I by II and by III or what are we talking about? Sorry it might be dumb but I don't understand

The question language is very odd.

Options should be like
1 & 2
2 & 3
1 & 3

I dont understand what option
1 only
2 only
3 only would mean
