Why my GMATPrep Test 2 only shows 35 Verbal Questions

Why my GMATPrep Test 2 only shows 35 Verbal Questions [#permalink] New post   26 Mar 2019, 01:00
Hi guys, my first post here on GMAT Club. I just finished my second GMATPrep test online and I realized that the software (or whatever it is called) only gave me 35 questions for Verbal section. My last 3 questions 33, 34 and 35 were all on RC and I still had about 45 seconds on the clock.

Was it because the software thought that it would not make a difference in my Verbal score even if I did it incorrectly? Or is it because the software ran out of questions? My Verbal question components were pretty skewed: 13 RCs, 8 CRs and 14 SCs.

Has this ever happened to anyone? I'm not complaining but I felt I'm short-changed for one practice question :).

That must be a bug. The exam doesn't give up on the person taking the test. :)

Did you receive a score at the end, and are you able to review your test?

I got a score at the end still. Even when I go back to the review section and click on question 36, it would just display question 35.

Hi goldnano,

Welcome to GMATCLUB! It is definitely a bug. A friend of mine was giving exam 3 from EP 1 and he only got 26 Question in Verbal when his test suddenly ended. This happened 3 times before he wrote to the GMAC, who said that it was a system issue and that they are working on it. So don't worry too much about it.

In terms of the number of questions, you can generally expect 13-14 RCs, 9-10 CRs and 13-14 SCs.

I agree that you had a bug. Have you taken any other practice exams besides the first one?
