This is probably easiest if we separate the integers from the fractions, which can be done in two parts.

9/2 = 8/2 + 1/2 = 4 1/2 = 4.5

11/3 = 9/3 + 2/3 = 3 2/3 = 3.67

28/9 = 27/9 + 1/9 = 3 1/9 = 3.11

21/5 = 20/5 + 1/5 = 4 1/5 = 4.2

wonderful way to convert fractions to decimals
