worst nightmare :( :( :(

ive heard of people who got very low scores on either quant or verbal - and they were SO SURE something must have been wrong with the computer, which is nearly impossible. i think if the questions are really easy and youre breezing through stuff - you were ultimately choosing the wrong answers. either because you were nervous or in a weird mental state where you werent taking in all the information in the stems or answer choices... dont feel so down. if youre still acting this way by the time you retake the exam, im pretty sure you wont do as well as you can.

not sure if you saw my debrief - id post a link but i havent been a member long enough... 2 Months in the GMAT CAVE: 530 to 750! (Q48/V46) but you will see that i went through many levels of mental and emotional preparation throughout the entire 2+ months. im generally a pretty optimistic person, but i also put A LOT of pressure on myself, and i have noticed that things really turned around when i reached this certain understanding:

i had been studying so much, given up everything for this stupid test, etc... and i suddenly realized that i am doing my ultimate best. theres nothing more i could do. and i know how much i personally grew. i wasnt going to beat myself up over anything, because, sh!t, i beat myself up enough living in the GMAT cave. and let me tell you, it was like there was some major shift - because my practice scores started going up, i began to really GET the problems, i started to be able to achieve insane laser focus - and best of all, i wasnt so afraid of the test anymore. when this happens, you kind of become badass. in a good way. and i believe that this was the single biggest factor that helped me break the 700 barrier.
