\$x is such that \$x is equal to the nearest integer less than x. What is the value of \$6.99 times \$(-2.01)?

(A) 18

(B) 12

(C) -12

(D) -18

(E) -21
IMO D we need to round off number nearest to integer less than that number so
6.99 will be 6
-2.01 will be -3 as they are negative and lesser value will be -3
so 6 times of -3 is
6*-3=-18

\$(-2.01) = -3

\$6.99 = 6

-3 x 6 = -18
