OK. I did my exam this morning and I got a 700. I decided to share with you guys because even though I don’t post here, I have been coming here every now and then as a vital part of my preparation. Lots of tips I got here were extremely useful. I can’t remember my username so I had to register again.
I started studying on March the 14th by simply attending a Powerscore Class that ran from March 12th to April 11th. I simply just concentrated on going to class for 6 hours a week for 5 weeks. There was homework which I mostly did (well at the beginning but later on I slacked).
After the classes, I just focused on doing all the math problems in the green book. I only noticed that there was a set of 104 data sufficiency questions 2 weeks before the exam but I attempted the whole set once and got 75% of them right and went over my mistakes. However, the first part of the official slim green book, I did those problems every single one of them 3 times.
Did a bunch of practice tests, 5 Powerscore tests (very very hard), 2 official GMAT tests. My final indication that I was ready was when I did the Kaplan test online and scored 650. I used the calculator and it came out that I would score 724 if I did the real exam. At that juncture, I felt relaxed.
Monday was my last day of studying and I did nothing till the exam today.
Encouragement to people, 700 is not impossible. Just work hard and smart.
I had a score of 47 in quantitative (82nd percentile) and 38 in verbal (85th percentile). Overall, 92nd percentile.
Also, this is my 1st try.
