Great MBA experience, but a disclaimer for internationals.

Program Full Time MBA

Class of 2017

Experience during the program

Great faculty for Finance. The Data Analytics courses are going to be great in a few years (It's in the works). Certainly stay away if you are looking for Operations or SCM.

You will be taught by the best in the business. Class is represented by diverse backgrounds, skills and cultures. There is a sense of belonging and the BC alumni links are pretty strong.

As an international student, classroom atmosphere is very welcoming. Professors make sure you feel comfortable and at the same time, intellectually stimulated and challenged.

The CIRM Investment Management track is a great opportunity to manage real money on an equity portfolio, if you like investing. The Tech Treks and International trips to Latin America and Europe give you opportunities to interact with some great companies.

The Career Center has a long way to go, in terms of drawing employers that recruit inclusively. Career advisers are not competent enough at guiding international students with the recruiting process.

About job placement process

International Students - Unless you have a solid background with Corporate Finance/Asset Management/Capital Markets or CFA levels, your career opportunities are very limited. You will have to do a ton of networking to get an opportunity after you graduate. On Campus recruiting for internationals is close to Nil.
