Depends on what you're looking for

This review is for DeGroote

Program Full Time MBA

Class of 2016

Experience during the program

This review is for the co-op MBA. You alternate work and study semesters until you graduate. The Co-op is really the only thing this program has going for it, but it excels at that just based on reputation alone.

This MBA will work for you depending on what you're looking for. I was looking for industry experience, small class size and be able to recoup my tuition (through co-op salaries). Worked for me.

If you're looking for a top class faculty and a diverse, experienced student body, look elsewhere. Faculty is flaky, at best. Courses are pretty dry and not based or, nor taught by industry experience/ed professionals.

I am looking for a career switch from IT to Finance. I have 3.2 years of Work-Exp. And thus I'm really interested in the DeGroote Co-Op Program as it will help me gain the relevant industry experience before graduating and enable me to switch my career. I'm quite shocked by your review and would like to know some more details. I am definitely looking for a good set of batch mates and professors as they are crucial in any MBA program.
I'm also looking for a good Finance course to help me make my switch.

Would you still recommend DeGroote for me? Or would I be better off in another college say Calgary or John Molson?

Quite honestly, I'm also concerned about the Location of DeGroote. From the pictures, it looks like DeGroote is located in an isolated place next to some sort of freeway/highway.

So I'm assuming there is no residential stay option within 5 mins walking distance? Neither can I stay on campus if I wish not to travel for more than 5 mins?

I would love to have some in-depth conversation with you if you have the time as this is a very crucial decision for me.

I'm pursuing B.Com(Hons) from Delhi University. I am interested for Master in Finance course offered by McMaster University. I wanted to know about the course and curriculum. I'm not able to find Average GMAT and employment statistics of this course. Is it a good option to go for?
