I had taken previously another prep course a few years earlier and it really focused on the formulas over the logic of the exams, which had served to confuse me without improving my results.

I loved that EMPOWER broke down content into short, 2-5min videos, as it allowed me to study on my own schedule. The quant section was particularly helpful-- no BS, focused on real, useful tactics and strategies, with quizzes to make sure you've understood the material. The verbal section is not as strong-- the videos drone on for too long and the explanations aren't nearly as crisp. The 'mental prep' components of EMPOWER were also really helpful; it's so easy to get obsessed with minutiae instead of taking in the bigger picture.

Finally, as mentioned earlier, I had already paid for an expensive prep course, so was unwilling to shell out another few thousand $ to do so again. EMPOWER's price point made it easy for me to test it out without shelling out a lot more $! I liked it enough to stick with it. I'm glad I did.
