Magoosh is brilliant not just for the content but also for the similarity with the actual GMAT platform. I found it really easy to use the app on my phone or iPad when I was on the go or when I was in meetings at work. Magoosh made practicing for the GMAT like an interactive game. I really liked Magoosh math practice questions because they were always followed by an explanatory video. I highly recommend Magoosh! The only issues I have had with it are the practice tests - I always scored in the 500s but in the actual test I scored well over 650. I also think that people shouldn't just use Magoosh to practice for the GMAT, but use it as a supplement to their main courses. I also remember that I got a discount for premium access, and highly encourage everyone to look out for that discount. They also have a free month trial which I highly recommend.
I purchased Kaplan and the official GMAC books but found it hard to fit studying into my busy schedule, and dragging the books along with me wherever I went was inconvenient. I love how Magoosh is all online. The videos were extremely clear and helped me learn the concepts I found hard to take in when studying from the books. The practice problems were also a bit harder than the official exam, which made test day a lot less stressful for me. All in all, I'd recommend this package to anyone looking to take the GMAT and I fully believe it's all you need to do well!
I received late notification about an important MBA opportunity and only had one month to study for the GMAT. My sister recommended Magoosh after her successful GRE prep using the program. I spent almost all of my free time during that month studying with Magoosh and achieved a score within the range I needed on my first (and only) opportunity to take the exam. I would never recommend cramming GMAT prep into one month if it isn't absolutely necessary, but Magoosh helped me make the most out of my limited time. I would highly recommend Magoosh to anyone preparing for the GMAT or other exam.
I love how Mike and his crew focus on truly understanding the basics of each topic. For example, he trains you well how to compute negative exponents by understanding the fundamentals of what exponents really are; in case you forget the quick mental tricks, you can fall back on deeper understanding and work your way up to the answer. This saved my bacon on a couple of questions on the exam, one involving the unit circle geometry, and one variously compounding interest.
Pedagogically, I love how Mike explains multiple solutions to the same problem, for example one algebraic, one geometric, one intuitive.
Also, for an older guy who grew up taking paper exams, I appreciated how the Magoosh interface mimics the actual GMAT interface.
Lastly, I love that when I asked a question on this forum about a concept I was struggling with, Mike himself responded.
My one recommendation for improvement would be having a singular list/video of "must-memorize" concepts/numbers (e.g. squares up to 15, unit circle proportions, etc.); Mike tells you in the individual videos that these are must-memorize concepts, but I would have liked to have one centralized resource for them.
Anyway thanks again Mike and co.!!
Magoosh is premium material at a very reasonable price. I was able to get up 80 points. Especially as a non-native speaker, I gained a lot from the verbal section. The practice test wasn't the best but is pretty solid and that's the only area where I'd say Magoosh can do much better. In summary, I am not sure what my preparation would have looked like and what my score card would have without Magoosh. Also, the study plans were pretty awesome. Magoosh personally helped me pick and follow the 3 month verbal study plan based on my history with the test.
Magoosh is by far the cheapest among all GMAT courses in the market. It was the first one which I purchased. They have a variety of videos explaining each of the topics that you need from GMAT. The topics are well organized and you can follow the guide to complete the sessions or just select the topics you prefer. They also have many exercises to practice. The only thing that I didn't like was the mock exams, but those you can get for free in other places. If you are looking for a cheap and reliable solution, magoosh is your choice.

I have taken Magoosh premium, the course including all videos, practice questions & tests is very good . The question are graded into difficulty level, it gives you feel of real gmat test. Video explanations are great. Magoosh support is really awesome and they reply to our queries promptly.all the apps like idiom flashcards and other resources are really helpful. Magoosh should introduce a discussion forum on their website for students to discuss the questions. Overall the quality of both verbal and math questions is really good, the video lessons are sufficient, tests are real gmat like. I feel that magoosh is a game changer in gmat preparation.
I found Magoosh Verbal video lessons a great complement to Manhattan Verbal guides; especially for SC. Let me explain how it works. If you study a lesson or strategy in a book, it may not stick to your mind. But when you study a concept and few days later you face the same concept on practice problems, and then a week later watch a video lesson on the same concept, it would probably remain in your memory for long time. Magoosh video lessons; especially SC ones; teach you new concepts or deepen your understanding of newly learned concepts.
In addition, Magoosh offers a "Help" feature that you I found very helpful during my studies. You could simply email Magoosh experts and ask them anything. They also have video explanations for OG problems.
Nevertheless, I do not like their AWA section. They could have done much better on this section.
In sum, If you are a dedicated test-taker and willing to spend 2 to 3 months studying GMAT, I highly suggest purchasing Magoosh products. You have to listen to them and follow their approach.
I tried some practice questions that came with a Princeton Review book and also tried the trial from the economist. Both were horribly slow for the practice I wanted and honestly not good practice.
Magoosh was by far the best comparison to what the actual GMAT felt like. The videos on magoosh really helped me think through the actual problems and come up with actual strategies to improve on the problem types of was weak on. I probably went through some of the questions too quickly, but the video explanations were really good and the overall experience was highly enjoyable. Magoosh was good enough that I almost miss studying for the GMAT (almost).
The course is very well structured and concise. Pay attention to the video explanations though, they'll be the most important part of the module. The tricks in maths section are applaudable, the dual explanations makes you find the faster approach, little tips like take sometime to understand the questions and find the best approach(for me it was a good 30secs per question) also contributed to my quant improvement.
I was initially skeptical of the verbal section as the verbal lessons seemed a lot of work and seemed too much in depth than needed.I was not hopeful of a 700+ score i made will to do every single question, saw every lesson and reviewed video explanations of every incorrect answer, the criteria to be eligible for the full refund (50 point improvement scheme). Well, this turned out to be a blessing. The quality of the material is very well reflected in my score.
More than that, the team was very cooperative, they even extended my subscription upon request.
Hence,i highly recommend this course.
