Energetic Teachers; Proven Pedigree; Strategies for Training

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Really impressive curriculum. Amazing how I was able to walk in with such a mountain of expectations about the GMAT, then walk out knowing the exact strategies I'd need to succeed.

Having the books alongside the classwork means that, even if I missed something during instruction, there was a bible next to me to pull info from. Plus, their online tools made the Official GMAT Guide far less intimidating. I sampled three instructors, including my Primary Teacher, Matt Brandon, and they all were approachable and energetic.

Now, if you're not wiling to put in the hours on homework each week, this class isn't worth it. They can't train you, they can only teach you how to train yourself.

Everyone I know who's attended a great b-school chose Manhattan Prep for their GMAT studying. I was glad to see find out their recommendation was correct.

Excellent Course - Highly Recommend

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

Whitney was a fantastic instructor and was readily available both in and out of the classroom. Moreover, it was clear she really enjoyed teaching the course and brought a lot of energy into every lesson. The overall course was easy to follow and well organized. I was especially impressed with their online portal which contained a myriad of resources, particularly the practice exams. In addition to learning about the exam question types and how to best tackle them, I think the most important aspects of the course were the strategies involved in taking the GMAT. I was very happy with the results of the course, and I am so thankful to have found them!

Incredible Experience, Highly Recommend Elaine!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I had an absolutely incredible experience with Manhattan prep. Recommended by a friend, I walked into the process with no idea of what to expect. The course was incredibly well planned, and the combination of books, online learning, and in class learning was a perfect trio for me.

The online portion can't be understated - the ability to review lessons, and have rich explanations to all of your questions from the OG isn't something I found in other study guides. They've obviously taken a lot of time and consideration to put together a program that prepares you for all aspects of the GMAT, and the admission process in general.

Elaine was an absolutely incredible tutor, who made studying for the GMAT as fun as possible, while also helping me to move from a 600 on my first practice test to a 750 on my GMAT. Go with Elaine - you won't regret it.

Manhattan Prep was great

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I really enjoyed my 9 week prep course through Manhattan Prep. I was completely unfamiliar with the GMAT prior to starting the course and relied on its materials almost completely for my studies. My instructor, Marc, was so accommodating and one of the best instructors I have ever had. He took time with each student individually as our class was only about 8 people. We got high quality instruction, the best materials, and a lot of one on one tutoring which I believe led to my score. They focus on the quantitative aspect a lot. The best part of the course is the materials they provide you. The practice test really help you hone your skills and identify your weaknesses.

Great course and books

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I took the ManhattanPrep classes early in 2016 and high recommend the course. The classes and material were great and helped me study to take the GMAT and get a score over 700. The books and online material are very streamlined so you study in the most efficient manner and don't waste time learning or doing things that won't help. Our instructor, Christine, was a lot of fun. Make no mistake though, the study and homework workload is heavy. I'd say 10-20 hrs per week.

Their website was particularly useful. They have online classes that cover the class content and can also be used for review. The interactive classes have excellent exercises to help with the AWA and IR. And finally they have the online CATs and a system to take the individual questions/tests online, review answer explanations and analyze your performance on specific types of questions so you can work on improving weak areas.

I highly recommend Manhattan Prep for GMAT preparation. When I was researching test prep options, most sources suggested Manhattan Prep was the best. In my opinion, Manhattan Prep has the best material and strategies to effectively prepare for and perform well on the GMAT exam.

I took the 9 session Live Instruction course with Keith Blume. Keith was an amazing instructor. It was evident from the first class how genuinely interested he was in getting to know his students individual strengths and weaknesses and helping each one succeed. Keith is truly passionate about his job and is a highly effective teacher. I am grateful for his guidance in helping me exceed my expectations on the GMAT exam.

Manhattan GMAT

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

My Manhattan GMAT experience with Brett Beach Kimball and Stephanie Moyerman was fantastic. I took the online course, which I was initially hesitant about since I learn better in person. However, I figured it would be a good idea to study for an online test with an online course. The MGMAT blackboard program is excellent – it feels like you are in a real classroom, with live instruction, a whiteboard, and real time Q&A. Brett and Steph did a great job working through a ton of material both on the quant and verbal side. My test scores improved consistently over the course of the nine weeks and their lessons definitely played a major role. I also liked that the class size was relatively small (~10 people) and they would stick around after class to answer any individual questions. One thing I would note is that the MGMAT tests are very hard. I actually ended up doing better on the real test than I had ever done on one of their practice tests. I think this is meant to encourage you to find your weaknesses and study as much as possible. It worked for me, and I would highly recommend MGMAT!

Well structured and effective!

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

I highly recommend the 9-week Manhattan Prep course. Isaac was an incredible instructor, structuring a course that iteratively built-up different skills in a totally manageable yet appropriately challenging way. The class involved a lot of actual problem solving as well which was great and helped drive home the lessons. The only downside to any of these classes is having a room full of people with varying strengths and skill sets. That said, Isaac was willing to dedicate extra time after class and during breaks to answering specific questions, and he took the time to recommend alternative study strategies to those looking for more focus in one area.

Manhattan Prep gave me the confidence, methodology and tools to make a huge improvement in my GMAT performance. I completed the 9 sessions prep course in fall 2015. My instructor, Gilad Edelman, kept subject matter engaging and was able to break down components in a way that was easy to digest, while also keeping the class challenged. I gained tools to improve across both quantitative and verbal sections. In addition, he was always available for extended discussion inside and outside of class. I was able to design a personalized study plan that worked for me. I started out with a low 600s score when beginning Manhattan Prep, and improved to a 740 by test day!

Manhattan GMAT is Excellent

REVIEWER IDENTITY VERIFIED by score report [?]

My Manhattan GMAT experience significantly helped me improve my score. I started with a score of 630 and over the course of the nine weeks improved that to a 710. Not only did I learn tips about how to stay calm and effectively take the test. Our class was large (about 30 students), but the instructor did a great job managing the group. The online practice tests are harder than the actual GMAT, in my opinion, but signing up for Manhattan also gave me access to GMATWrite, which allowed me to see how I would score on the essay. Manhattan does not focus on the IR, and in fact, doesn't have any lessons on IR. For me, the verbal section was more helpful than was the quantitative section.
