The Economist GMAT Tutor is fantastic! To begin with, the content is rich. I've spent approximately 22 hours studying so far, and already feel that I could face the GMAT tomorrow with a large increase in my score. The lessons are easy to follow along with, and will give you more detailed examples/help or less, depending on how well you do on practice problems.

I also really like that the program will sprinkle in review problems from other sections you've learned, so that you continue to keep your skills sharp. Two great features that I've yet to use so far are The Economist GMAT Tutor's option to schedule a live tutoring session as well as a review of an essay you've written.

I am not a GMAT genius, and it took so much effort and time to prepare. Then I decided to change my strategy and signed up for Economist GMAT. I have improved 100 points since I started the course. I still have 10% to finish and hope to get a 700 on my upcoming exam. The class is very interactive, and helps to ace your weaknesses and also to review your strengths. In my case it helped to improve verbal by 50% from V. 20 to V 35 (74%). Also, Economist GMAT has 4 tutoring sessions available for free. Tutors are very knowledgeable and can help you with the struggling areas. I highly recommend Economist Gmat!

I started my GMAT studies with GMAT Tutor. If you are someone who has a hard time to study everyday and keep track of your studies, GMAT Tutor is a good choice. They have all the sessions defined and you can check your progress in real time. Moreover you can ask for a progress report in which you receive more detail about your progress. You also can post your questions online if you don't understand a particular problem. They also provide online coaching in the package in which I used to solve some doubts in Math. Overall I had a really good experience. My advice is to do the course and as you learn a topic, follow it in the official guide also.

The GMAT tutor is a very adaptive program. One of the things I most like is that you can choose the lessons length. You can choose different lengths that accommodate to your current time schedule. Other of my favorite things is that they try to strength your weakest areas. In Sentence correction and Data Sufficiency, where I got stuck a bit, the GMAT Tutor kept sending me questions until I improve and start getting them right.
Other feature that I like is that you can ask for a status of your current performance. I like that they send it to me after I asked for it, but I would like it to me more specific. Also they told that they can just send it to me once a month, but I think it would be more helpful for to receive it every week.

I am half way completed the gmat prep from the economist and I liked quite a few things about the program:

Your able to study on your phone or PC.
I learnt and practiced a new answering strategy very quickly.
They get you practising GMAT questions from day one.
It’s possible to customise your study time from 10 minutes to an hour.
If your like graphs and data and there the potential for analysis on your study time, topics you find difficult.

I would recommend this prep for anyone is good at the basics, but just needs to brush up and learn the GMAT way. It’s also handy for busy people who can only squeeze in short study slots during the day. It is also good for those that learn by reading and doing.

The GMAT Economist Tutor is the best application for that I've used for preparation for my second GMAT exam. I am an engineering student that is preparing trying to get into an 3+2 MBA Program. Although I love business, I haven't had the need to take many business courses so it is helpful to get the transition from the engineering mindset to the more business or GMAT mindset.

I really like how the application works to anticipate what you need and suggests lessons for you. The questions and content does get more difficult the better you do, just like the actual exam. It does more then just quiz but actually teach strategy to the questions and how to go about the test. But it also teaches you content so you know what is actually going on. So you understand the verbal questions or the math pieces.

The GMAT Economist Tutor also provides an online version but also an iPad version so I can pretty much take it wherever. The application also allows for practice exams, tutor advice, and even an essay that can be scored. So it really covers a lot of the bases. But it still takes a lot of time and effort that you have to put in. It is an expensive test prep program, but worth it.

The Economist GMAT tutor is a great tool for test takers. For me it was good mainly because of three aspects. The first is that it helps the students learn from the basics to the most advanced subjects. For me this was great because I hadn't see the subjects for a long time, until I started studying for the GMAT. So it was great to remember the basics first. The second thing is that you can keep track of how you are doing. The Economist tells you how far long you are in the course, what are your weakest and strongest subjects and what would be your score if you would take the test today. And the third is that is very interactive, you can study from several devices, and has a lot of exercises. Besides that, when you buy it you can ask questions to a tutor, schedule a one o one interview and the support team is very quick in he responses. So for me it was a great tool.

I recommend it 100%. Before I subscribed to the GMAT Tutor I was studying from the GMAT Review books and the Manhattan - I was studying without a clear direction and not optimizing my time. Now I feel more secure about my preparation and my performance during the exam.

Overall, the Economist GMAT Tutor is an easy to use online course that covers almost the entire spectrum of topics and techniques necessary for success on the GMAT while providing feedback regarding course progress and grade projections.

I think the "computer adaptive" aspect of the program is the most impressive. The program quickly identifies my strengths and weakness and tailors a study program that suits my needs. The online tutors also have access to data and progress, so they know exactly what I need to practice to improve my score. Their tutors are also extremely helpful and very timely in their responses to my "Ask a Tutor" emails.

This is a top quality for a good price and has the flexibility that any full-time worker needs: it is online and you can study as much as you can and wherever you prefer. One doesn't have to worry about choosing lessons or worry if whether one will finish on time. The Economist GMAT does all this for you, choosing lessons for you and showing your progress in a visual graph. Additionally, it does not let you cheat and it gives you as many problems on any particular subject until you really understand it.

More importantly, I could feel there were people in the back of the program supporting me. I received a "get ready" support email two days before my actual test and I really appreciated it.

I used the Economist GMAT prep software and thought it did an excellent job at teaching overall strategy to approach the sections / question types and giving explanations to each question. The explanations for each question are worth their weight in gold in terms of helping increase learning speed.

The course is weighted more towards logic and logical reasoning; so I found it useful to use the MGMAT materials as well in order to get more exposure to tougher calculation questions. Deducting one star for the need to use other materials and other CATs that are less logic focused.

Overall I scored 750 on the real GMAT (Q47, V47).
