Course The Economist GMAT Tutor Ultimate Prep

Location Online

This product is worse than you can imagine. I am not kidding.
I saw other nice reviews and was very early in my preparation and decided to go for it without much information. I lost my 850$ for nothing.

Once, after understanding that this product is useless for me, I even asked for a refund, but it was against their 'Terms and Conditions' to provide a refund.

The following reasons are why you shouldn't buy this product:

a) No GMAT quality questions. You cannot imagine the quality of questions this application has. I would grade Verbal a bit higher than the Quant but Overall is way below what other courses have. You can move around on GMAT club and notice majority of the good/representative questions are from Veritas prep/Magoosh/Manhattan.

b) The one on one is of no use.

c) The AWA correction representative says refer to the lessons without providing even one mere correction on the essay.

You see, The way the lessons are structured is that you cannot move on to the topics you want to. The tutor offers you limited topics and then asks you to chose one.

I decided to pursue other materials because I was not comfortable with their lessons and decided to learn through other ways and thought about this tutor as sunk cost.

d) The lessons are useless because you cannot go back and refer to them for revision. If you feel that you are lacking in inequalities - You cannot decide to learn that till the 'Tutor' wants you too.

e) You need to write down the lessons because there is no other way you can refer them. If you have forgotten some basic stuff you read about- You cannot do anything about it - Because the 'Tutor' does not want you to learn it.

*) While I am putting all the cons out - If you really really want to hear the pros of the application. Here they are -
It has generic lessons which you can find anywhere else too.
For example Critical reasoning sections says first refer to Question than the argument and etc.... Such tips you can find anywhere else paying 20% of their price too.

Throughout my life, this has been the worst $ I have ever spent. But, I am happy there are other good sources out there.

Quant is the best. Verbal not sure.

Quant questions in gmat club tests are the best out there. It is much more trickier than any other test co out there and GMAT tests tricky queations. Interface and the explanations are awesome. Thanks Bunuel. 4 stars for Quant. (-1 star for Verbal) I did not attempt much of verbal so cannot comment on that. Once I do attempt more questions to get an insight, I may come back and change my reviews too. I am still using the tests and as per my experience they are definitely is helpful. I will edit this review once I get my score.
