I took the full time online course with Ravi Sreerma. I was very happy with the product, and I was also very happy with the online interface. That is probably the element I was most nervous about going in, and I was pleasantly surprised. Good interaction from Ravi, the class, and the TA, but not to the point it was annoying. As someone who is working fulltime, I really appreciated the opportunity to do the class from home. Ravi was a great instructor. He really pushed the class to do their best, and you will definitely do your homework once you get hooked on one or two "sucker answers"

I took the Veritas Prep GMAT Online Course with David Newland and he was a great instructor! He made the classes enjoyable while thoroughly explaining each skill and the reasoning(s) behind it. David taught at a good pace so it did not feel like I had to rush to keep up. David and his assistant, Bridget, made a great team. I haven't taken the GMAT yet after the completion of the course, but I feel like I understand the material much more after taking the course. Veritas Prep also sent a book for each class, so there are plenty of practice questions and skill builders. Thank you David and Bridgette!

Going into my GMAT preparation, I thought doing countless practice problems would suffice in order to master the test. After taking a few practice tests and not seeing any change in my score, I realized I needed to take a different approach. Hoping to take the GMAT by October, I signed up for the Full Online Live Course starting August 21st through September 28th. The classes are 3 hours long with an 8-minute break to help simulate what the GMAT breaks will feel like (so helpful day of). The first class serves as an introduction to what the GMAT is and the classes progress in difficulty as the lessons go on. For each class, you do skill-builders to prepare for the upcoming lessons - these really help prepare you to test out new strategies discussed that day.

In terms of the class, we would go through various strategies for problem types and then do a lot of practice problems. What’s great about the course structure is that it’s live! This means that you can ask questions in real time and get answers straight from the teacher. In addition, the platform has multiple choice options so that you can not only submit your answer, but also see the percentage break down of what other people answered.

The absolute highlight of the course was my teacher, Ethan Todras-Whitehill. From day one, his energy and passion for the GMAT made the 3-hour class fly by. He’s incredibly smart and qualified, but very down-to-earth at the same time. He’d get to know each of his students and strove to help everyone understand the subject matter. In addition, he’s hilarious, so even if you’re learning Data Sufficiency, you will end up leaving class with a smile on your face. Once in a while, he’d check up on me to see how the course was going. Even after the course, he emailed to see how studying was coming along. Knowing that someone else was rooting for me really helped motivate me on test day.

By far and away, the Veritas course is worth every penny. My GMAT score jumped 120 points and I gained important logical reasoning skills along the way. Learning how to think like the test maker made all the difference. Thanks Veritas! And most importantly, thanks Ethan!

Ravi Sreerama, through Veritas Prep, did what I considered impossible through a GMAT course. He successfully managed the online classroom, shared great test taking techniques, and gave real, practical, un-sugar coated advice on taking the test and learning progress at the same time. He helped me learn many quantitative topics and greatly improve the quantitative section of the gmat. Ravi has high expectations for his students, driving them to be the best and is uniquely motivating in that you believe you can achieve them. He was by far the best resource I could imagine in facing the GMAT and I learned more than I thought possible through his course.

Rob was an excellent instructor -- one of the best I've had not only in a test prep setting, but overall. It always felt like he truly cared about our success. This was a real difference maker for me, and was a big motivation. No question was too small or "dumb" for him to answer in a thoughtful, caring way. Rob was always "on" -- he was very consistent, and always came into class ready to teach with a positive, caring, energetic and professional attitude -- even when the energy of the class participants themselves was at a low. He would also make himself readily available to answer questions after class, during breaks, or by email. Rob is an overall great guy that you'd be lucky to have as your instructor!

I know this review may receive a lot of responses like sorry for your frustration, sorry test date was not as expected, but I still want to share my experience. My first two GMAT attempts was through self-study. I used vary few materials and my highest score out of the two attempts is 620. I am not sure how many would read my post after seeing my score but I still feel that my post can help other save $$$. I wanted to try out GMAT for the 3rd time to improve my score past 650. Spend $950 and 3 months on Veritas course on demand. The course is a series of records on sarcasm and very basic GMAT strategies(absolutely no lessons). The skillbuilders are just very basic probably just 8th grade math refresher. I was so disappointed on test day that I cancelled my score. So guys just do me a favor- save $950( equivalent to the price of taking 3 GMAT tests plus extra materials) and go elsewhere, I feel like I wasted my time and money. Their course is not worth even $300.

Taught by: Mark Robinson

I took the Tuesday/Thursday Full Course with Mark Alan Robinson in July/August 2016. I took a lot away from this class, not just about conquering the GMAT but about life.

Mark understands that everyone learns slightly different, therefore he presents information in several different ways. He has found ways to show quantitative students how to succeed on the verbal section and vise versa. Mark was also very engaging and made me look forward to going to class. He stayed after class whenever necessary to assist with any additional questions, was very approachable, and sent multiple emails to the class asking how we were doing with studying and test taking. It really made me feel that he genuinely cared and wanted me to succeed. Also, his easy personality and openness created a very healthy and interactive classroom environment.

While going through each lesson book within the Veritas course, Mark also provides a great amount of supplemental information and tips that he has attained over the years of teaching and tutoring. I took the GMAT three times, and this last piece is what I attribute my 100 point score increase to.

Simply put, I couldn't have asked for a better teacher. I would recommend anyone interested in taking the GMAT to 1. sign up for the Veritas in class program and 2. enroll in Mark Robinson's class if you are in the Houston area. It will be well worth it!

If you have decided to start studying for the GMAT, you would be doing yourself a huge disservice by not taking the Veritas Prep Online Course with Ethan Todras-Whitehill and Chris Speck. When I started studying for the GMAT ten plus months ago, I thought I could take a self study online course and maybe read a few books from Manhattan prep and I would get a score of over 700. In May I sat for the test and got a 550. I was fairly taken back by this- I had put in the time, done A LOT of practice problems, and felt fairly prepared. I decided to sign up for a review course and went on the forums and started reading reviews. I watched a short video of one of Ethan’s lessons and was sold (https://www.veritasprep.com/gmat/ethan-todras-whitehill/). I sat at my computer at 8pm on a Sunday for the first class expecting to be put to sleep. I was so wrong. Ethan was extremely charismatic and engaging and I was actually enjoying the class. If you watched the video above, you probably had an “oh snap” moment. Ethan’s lessons involve feeling like that for three hours. The material review accompanied by a set approach for each question type gave me the confidence I did not have before. After the course was over, I kept in contact with both Ethan and Chris as they continued to provide feedback on questions I had along with providing some emotional support. I sat for the exam a few weeks ago and got a 710 (Q49 V38). My score went up 160 points because of Ethan, Chris, and the Veritas approach to the GMAT. My only regret was not taking the class sooner.

Taking the course with Ethan was a great experience. At first I was taken aback by Ethan’s enthusiasm as an instructor and then as the course continued, I realized that this was just his personality. The class was fun and interesting throughout the course, but Ethan found a way to make sure that everyone came out of each lecture with at least 1-3 major takeaways. As far as the basics, Veritas Prep expects you to do your homework and review basic algebra, arithmetic, etc but where Ethan and Veritas Prep excel is at giving you tangible strategy to outperform the competition. Ethan did this by sticking to major themes throughout the lectures and using sometimes quirky but oddly spot on analogies. Overall, I had a great time retaking the course and learned a lot, but unfortunately I did not have a great day on test day, so I came up short of my target score.

Initially, I had my doubts about the live online class format - it sounded like it would be dry and not as engaging. Then, I read the reviews on this site and decided to take a class with Ethan/Veritas -- one of the best decisions I've ever made!

The software used for the online classes is actually surprisingly good - in addition to great video quality and the ability to submit answers to problems in class, the chat function allows you to ask questions without feeling like you're bothering everyone (and you're able to have a bit of fun/humor with it).

But what really makes the class amazing is Ethan - he is hands-down the best test teacher I've ever had.

- He really knows his stuff. Not only did he score very highly on the test himself, but he's been teaching the class for a while and can even speak to overall patterns he's seen with all the students he's worked with over the years. He really makes the most of class time so you never feel like you've wasted time.

-He's patient. Ethan and his TA, Chris, were always extremely helpful both in class and responding to emails. They proactively and privately check in with you to see how you're doing and see if there are any gaps they can help you with.

-He's got all the tricks. Ethan really has a trick for every single type of problem, whether it's verbal or quant. Veritas already has a great methodology for each problem type that comes in the book set, but Ethan has even more materials that he developed himself to help you with things like pacing (uber important), strategy, and memorizing special cases.

-He's funny - it really helps! I found myself cracking up a couple of times during the actual GMAT thinking back to a couple of the pop culture references and jokes Ethan and our class had together.

I ended up increasing my score by nearly 100 after the class. I highly recommend taking the Veritas class with Ethan if you can.
