E should be a winner as C says Majority travel by train not expending any or some Carbon fuel, yet even if 1 person is not travelling by that and travelling by a less efficient transport - by making them not travel the company will eventually be reducing the net fuel consumption

EG - total employees - 100
by train - 99 - fuel used - 0
by car - 1 - fuel used - x amount
if all are made to sit home the fuel consumption reduces by X

Option E - though not perfect as some is ambiguous word which ranges from 1 to the whole lot of employees - it is stillbetter

After accounting for the word "significantly reduced" from the passage, your analysis proves why option C is indeed correct. So we don't care about the minority that did not use the train because if they are still commuting in their traditional mode, they will not contribute towards

Note what the question stem is saying principle that, if accepted, would most strongly imply that the company should hire a Famous/Promote from withinCEO

      Now,
It means that combining the options with the premise of argument should strongly yield the conclusion to either support famous CEO or promoted from within CEO

2 Key points in premise are there:

      1. The company wants to make a change in order to generate revenuequickly , possibly by hiring a famous
      CEO.

The tens digit of 2x+2y will depend only on the units digit, so it doesn’t matter what other digits are.
Let the two numbers be 6a and 6b.
      Least value of 2(x+y) = 2(60+60) = 240
      Maximum value of 2(x+y) = 2(69+69) = 276

So 2(x+y) can take all even values from 240 to 276.
Thus, tens digit can be 4, 5, 6 and 7, a total of fourvalues.

      B

What do you mean by even values? Also  why is the assumption that the "positive" integer for x and y is only 2 digits (and not bigger)? Help is appreciatedImage

Even values meant even integers between 240 and 276.

      Let, y=k and x=k+d (where d≥+1)

      {(5k)/(5k+3d)}<1
      [because 5k+3d>5k]

      So, 9<(27x+23y)/(3x+2y)<10
Hence, ii. Is only available option.

      (1) n is divisible by 3.

      (2) n is odd

At first, we can break \(n(n^2 - 1)\) into (n-1)n(n+1).
Let us take statement 1. If n=1,3,5... then the product is divisible by 24. If n=2,4,6... then the product is not divisible by 24. Insufficient.
Let us take statement 2. If n=1,3,5... then the product is divisible by 24. Additionally, statement 2 says n is odd. This is sufficient.

      Option (B) is correct.

I hope you are doing well. Applying to ISB's Co'26 cohort is a great goal, so let's see how you can stand out.

Your academic background shows strong improvement. While the 10th and 12th percentages might be on the lower side, your stellar 9.12 CGPA in Media and Advertising from KC College Mumbai demonstrates a focus on your chosen field. The GRE score of 318 is decent, but aiming for a slightly higher score closer to the average could strengthen your application.
