GMAT Timer

I've written a simple timer (for Windows XP, Vista) for GMAT. It will definitely be useful in preparation.
12/29/2010 Please, use it as it is. I won't support it at least for the near future. If you need a more sophisticated timer, please, take a look at the GMAT ToolKit (iPhone/iPod Touch application).
If somebody wants to improve it, I will find and send you source files (CodeGear, Delphi) Thanks, Walker.

No sounds?
control panel-> sounds and audio devices-> sounds tab-> check if the sound scheme is selected to "No sounds" , instead it should be selected to "Windows default".

Other Timer Resources useful for the GMAT

As of 6/2010, we have a Timer built into the GMAT Club Question Forums:

See this discussion for more details and a demo.

It provides you with a list of all the questions you attempted!

walker, your application is great. I wasn't expecting something like that.

Since you are asking for wishes... :) How about an option where the user has the option to set intervals of time limited by a beep or something. Let's say that I want to pratice one-minute sentence corrections. Then, I could set up walker's cool gmat timer to beep every minute (or even better, to warn me at 55 secs, then beep at 60 secs). What do you think?

But again, a really useful feature. Thanks a lot! It's weid. On my way to work today I was thinking I needed to get a stop watch or something. You just saved me a buck or two.[/img]

F$#@$% fabulous !

Thanks walker !!

I think this post should be made sticky.

PS - since you were asking about bugs - in the verbal section there are 41 questions not 37.

:)

Hi KS. i was about to post about the same *problem* that you saw on the timer until i discovered that the number of questions changes once you start the Verbal timer. otherwise it remains as 37.

PS. KS. i guess number of questions on V is 41. :)

Us Linux users barely read RAR files, and EXE files of course... But thanks. Let me install a Windows emulator (WINE), maybe your program would run on top of it.

Erm... I hope this year we will make a study guide compilation like this available on the Wiki. It is good to have the stickies but it is not very systematic.
