I had a fantastic experience working with Joe as my admission consultant. He truly went above and beyond in every aspect of the application process. Despite the 15-hour time difference between China and the west coast of California where Joe was based, he was always prompt and responsive in answering all my questions, providing feedback on my essays, and guiding me on school selection.

I remember having multiple drafts for my essays, and Joe took the time to provide detailed feedback for every single one of them. Joe was a great help in figuring out what should be included in the application and what should be left on the cutting room floor. The applications give so little space that it is not easy to make yourself stand out in so few words, and Joe always reminded me to think of how every word built towards the final product. He was also good about keeping me on track and turning comments on weekends as we got down to crunch time.

Joe was also incredibly calm through the application process, which is great if you are inclined to stress out. Overall, would highly recommend using Joe if you are considering an applications consultant.

I'm from Australia and opted for a 3 schools package with Joe Farr as my main consultant. I chose Veritas because of its tailored approach in which I could mix and match my team of consultant to best suit my needs, goals and working style.

Joe was sensational! Despite the fact that I am across the world from him, I have developed a strong relationship with Joe. He took a lot of time upfront to understand my profile, goals and personality. He dedicated a lot of his personal time to help, and I'm truly appreciative of that. I knew a lot of people worked with consultants for their application to business schools. I thought, of course, it would be useful, but wasn't entirely sure it was as necessary to have one.

After working with Joe I learnt how important it is to work with someone who has done this before and knows the ins and outs of applying to business schools. There were numerous things that I had never considered and that he pointed out, helping me boost my application. I am doing a career switch, so mine was not an easy application, but he took the challenge and helped me research potential opportunities and try to find the best field for me. He also carried out a super complete initial strengths and weaknesses analysis that was the starting point of our work together.

It was a pleasure to work with Joe for a number of reasons. He provided really constructive feedback that made me substantially improve my resume and my essays. He was also very straightforward, candid and never hesitated in telling me the weaknesses he saw and how we could improve them. This is another quality of him that I really appreciated, as these kind of comments were the ones that made me re-think certain ideas or points until I was satisfied with them.

I was pretty demanding with Joe and asked tons of questions, e-mailed him at any time of the day, even weekends, and always asked for his feedback. He was extremely patient and not one e-mail or question ever went unanswered and it was always in a super timely manner. At first I thought of doing an hourly package, but I'm lucky I did not - I could have never fit all the work I did with Joe in an hourly package.

Finally, getting feedback from school specialists and a final review from a admissions director was absolutely valuable too. After working for months with your Head Consultant, it is very useful to receive feedback from an outsider as they always provide fresh comments and ideas.

I haven't heard from schools yet, but no matter what happens, I absolutely recommend Joe and the Veritas team, especially for their incredible hard work and professionalism.

I’ve had the privilege of working with Joe over the course of 9-10 months and I must say… what an incredible experience! From the very beginning, Joe identified my weaknesses and developed a roadmap to address them.

After I took the GMAT, I was upset with my score, as I was a full 100 points below the average of my target school. As the final rounds approached and given my work experience, I decided not to retake the GMAT and to proceed with my school application. As an applicant who was applying on the final round with a low GPA and low GMAT, one thing was certain, my whole application had to be stellar in order for me to even have a slight chance of getting into the school I was aiming for. With Joe’s guidance, we completely revamped my CV and we spent quite some time on the essay question. Joe responded in timely manner and he always gave constructive feedback. He definitely pushed me to my limits and brought out the best of me!

The application process was quite the journey and I am so gratefully that Joe was by my side. I can confidently say that, without Joe, I wouldn’t have been able to get into my target school. I came from a non-traditional background in Fashion Design so when I decided to apply to business schools, many of them top tier, I knew I needed some guidance in the application process. I had already taken the Veritas prep course, so I decided to add on their Admissions Consulting service as well. I knew which schools I was applying to already so I really just needed help reviewing my essays. At first I was a little hesitant that our communication was going to be via email or phone only, but it was never an issue. Joe was excellent at going through my essays and providing insightful comments to improve specific sentences, as well as highlighting key areas that were unclear. We were able to go through all my essays for 8 schools within the 3 hour time block. Joe was also good at providing honest advice about my shortcomings and how to address them. In addition to reviewing my essays, Joe answered any questions I had about the admissions process and discussed with me the best steps I should take to improve my chances. Overall, I felt that having an admissions consultant was an invaluable resource for me throughout the process.

Going with Veritas Prep is one of the best decisions I made during the MBA apps process. Coming from a nontraditional background, I didn't realize how immersive and time-consuming applying would be. Veritas helped me set a game plan and easily extracted what the strengths and weaknesses were in my profile. From there it was an exercise in speaking to my strengths while doing what I could to improve in other areas, notably, everything to do with quantitative materials.

Joe was an amazing consultant: great listener, great mentor, and I knew he had my back throughout the whole process. Joe & the Veritas team wanted me to succeed, so they certainly didn't sugarcoat it when they needed to give me tough love. But that was the best thing they could have done in order to manage my expectations and to show where exactly I needed to push harder.

I had already used Veritas Prep during my preparation for the GMAT (mock exam package), and while I had completed my MBA applications without using any consulting service, I decided to purchase Veritas Prep's Mock Interview Package costing $600.

The package included two mock interview sessions (an hour each). Veritas Prep assigned an admission consultant who used to interview applicants on behalf of the very business school that invited me for an interview. First, I sent all relevant information about myself (resume, application essays, and any other specific demands), to which the consultant replied with very minute and specific replies and comments regarding how I should prepare the first mock interview. After the first mock interview, the consultant sent me a very detailed feedback with suggestions on how to improve and how to craft the answers in a more impactful way. The second mock interview went the same way as the first one, followed by a very minute feedback as well.

The sessions were very helpful. In my particular case, as a government worker, I had a rather non-traditional profile for business schools, and I was particularly concerned by my relative youth (graduated college just a little bit over a year ago). The consultant showed very clearly what was expected of me as well as which points I should emphasize the most. The sessions also made me a lot less stressed about the real interview, since the two hours of mock interview made me familiarized with the admission interview environment. Another positive aspect was that before, during and after the consulting period, I could ask any question by mail and a reply would soon land in my mailbox within 24 to at most 36 hours.

I wholeheartedly recommend Veritas Prep's mock interview sessions to anyone who requires an optimal preparation for his or her MBA admission interviews.
